Pupil Parliament 2025/26

Our Pupil Parliament Team is a vital part of our academy community, providing every pupil with a meaningful platform to influence positive change and ensure their voices are truly valued. It empowers children to take an active role in shaping school life, developing confidence, leadership, and responsibility, while ensuring decisions reflect the needs and aspirations of all pupils.

The Parliament fosters a culture of collaboration and respect, building strong partnerships between pupils, staff, and leaders. Ministerial roles are elected by the pupils themselves, giving ownership and accountability to those chosen to lead on key areas of school improvement. This not only encourages democratic participation but also nurtures skills in problem-solving, teamwork, and public speaking.

Through regular debates, discussions, and consultations, members of the Pupil Parliament gather ideas from across the school community, driving forward initiatives that make a real difference. Outcomes and recommendations are presented to staff, peers, and the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring pupil voice is at the heart of academy development.

Above all, the Parliament embodies the values of aspiration, passion and commitment, working tirelessly to enhance our academy while upholding our core PUPAC values and the principles of British Values. By modelling respect, fairness, and responsibility, they inspire others and set the standard for what it means to be an active citizen, both within school and in the wider community.
