At Park Academy, we take pride in being a school that upholds the rights of all its pupils. Our goal is to create an environment where everyone in the school community, including children and young people, has their voices heard, their rights recognised, and their experiences valued.
Within Park Academy, we actively promote a culture where both adults and staff encourage children to feel safe and share their experiences. This culture extends to encompass not only their school life but also factors outside of school, such as their home life and family situations.
Our commitment to being a rights respecting school is at the core of our values. We firmly believe that by fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and active listening, we empower our students to become well-informed, compassionate, and responsible citizens who contribute positively to the world.
Rights Respecting School - Silver Accreditation
At Park Academy, we are proud to be an actively anti-racist school. Our commitment to equality and inclusion goes far beyond words: it is embedded in our daily practice, our curriculum, our policies, and our relationships. We want every member of our community — pupils, staff, parents, and partners to feel seen, heard, and valued, regardless of their ethnicity or cultural heritage.
We have an appointed Anti-Racism Champion who leads our work in this area, ensuring that race equality remains a visible priority across the school. This role includes supporting staff training, listening to pupil voice, reviewing curriculum content to ensure representation, and monitoring progress so that we are constantly improving. Having a dedicated leader in this area demonstrates that we take anti-racism seriously and that we hold ourselves accountable to meaningful, lasting change.
Our anti-racism work is not a one-off initiative but a long-term commitment. We actively challenge racism in all its forms and ensure that pupils feel confident to speak up, knowing they will be listened to and supported. Through assemblies, curriculum themes, and wider enrichment opportunities, we give children the knowledge and language to explore issues of equality and justice, and the confidence to stand against prejudice.
We also place strong emphasis on representation: ensuring that the voices, experiences, and achievements of people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds are celebrated and reflected in what we teach and how we celebrate learning. From literature and history to art, music, and science, we aim to show children a rich and inclusive picture of the world around them.
Our commitment to anti-racism is also about partnership. We work closely with parents, carers, and the wider community to make sure our approach reflects the values and aspirations of those we serve. We know that change is most powerful when it is collective, and we are proud to stand together with our community in this vital work.
At Park Academy, anti-racism is not an optional extra — it is central to who we are as a school. We will continue to listen, to learn, and to lead, ensuring that every child grows up in an environment where they feel proud of their identity, confident in their voice, and empowered to help create a fairer and more inclusive world.
In the Multiplication assessments of 2022, Park Academy achieved outstanding results, receiving a high average score. This accomplishment placed us among the top 200 performing schools in England for the multiplication check. The exceptional achievement of our students aligns with the government's aspirations for schools nationwide. In the 2024 the average point score was 25.
We take immense pride in our students' dedication and success in mastering their multiplication tables. This accomplishment reflects not only their hard work but also the tireless efforts of our dedication to achieving well. Congratulations to all involved in this remarkable achievement.
