Eid ul Adha

Eid ul Adha

Last week, our children enjoyed a special visit from Yosra who kindly volunteered her time to  share the story behind Eid ul Adha. The children learned about the courage and faith of Hajar, who searched for water in the desert, and how her trust in God led to the appearance of the Zamzam spring. They also heard about Prophet Abraham and his family, whose story is remembered during this celebration.

The session helped the children understand how Eid is a time of gratitude, kindness, and coming together. It was a lovely opportunity to appreciate the traditions and values that are important to many families in our school community.

Eid ul Adha reminds Muslims around the world about kindness, generosity, and helping others. Families celebrate by praying together, sharing food, and giving to those in need. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to understand how people in our school community celebrate this special time, and to appreciate the values of gratitude and compassion that Eid teaches.
